The surroundings are beautiful, with lots of lakes and walking paths in the area. It is also great for camping, canooeing and cycling the Klarälvsbanan, the cycling path that runs from Karlstad to Uddeholm along the Klarälven river.
The closest lake with a swimming spot is lake Lemundstjärn at 10 mins drive. It has a small beach, a jetty in summer, and is kid and dog friendly (leash you dog). It is very quiet outside of the summer holidays. There are walking paths around the lake through the forest.
